Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membranes in Chemical Wastewater - 翻译中...

Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane has become a research hotspot in the field of chemical wastewater treatment due to its excellent thermal stability, pore stability, chemical corrosion resistance, and high mechanical performance.

Currently, the composition of chemical wastewater is becoming increasingly complex, and a single wastewater treatment process is difficult to achieve efficient results. To maximize the improvement of wastewater treatment effects, we should actively explore the effective application paths of Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane in chemical wastewater, thereby better mitigating the environmental impact of chemical wastewater.

Principle of Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane's Application

Ceramic membrane is an inorganic membrane. Currently known ceramic membranes include single-component membranes and multi-component membranes. Ceramic membranes commonly used in engineering include three levels: separation layer, porous support layer, and filter layer. According to the "sieving theory", the permeability of various substances in the membrane's pores is different. The substances to be separated flow outside the membrane or in the membrane tube. Small molecule substances pass through the membrane, while large molecules are intercepted by the membrane, thereby achieving separation and concentration.

Application of Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane in Chemical Wastewater Treatment

As the cost of sewage treatment continues to rise, the reuse of reclaimed water is also receiving increasing attention. Ceramic membranes can separate substances stably and for a long time in harsh environments, which fully demonstrates their application prospects in sewage treatment. Currently, ceramic membranes are mainly used in the treatment of petrochemical and paper industry wastewater.

Treatment of Oily Wastewater

Oily wastewater comes from many sources, such as clean wastewater discharged from steel plants, emulsified wastewater, etc. This wastewater is easily emulsified and difficult to decompose. Therefore, traditional physical and chemical methods can hardly achieve ideal treatment results. However, Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane can be widely used in the treatment of oily wastewater due to its long service life and high flux advantages. When treating steel rolling mill wastewater with ceramic membrane, it can maintain a treatment effect of 130L/h·m² under the condition of 0.1Mpa and 15m/s liquid membrane flow rate, and the treated wastewater can meet the discharge requirements. Taking TiO₂ ceramic membrane as an example, its COD retention rate for emulsified oily wastewater is over 95%, which can well remove emulsified oil and ensure that the chemical oxygen demand of wastewater is below 15mg/L.

Treatment of Petrochemical Wastewater

In the petrochemical production process, highly corrosive, strong acid, strong alkali, and wastewater containing suspended substances are produced. Organic membranes cannot effectively treat such wastewater. Ceramic membranes have good chemical stability and achieve good results in petrochemical wastewater treatment. Personnel can use mechanical accelerated clarifying tanks, multi-media filtration, activated carbon filtration, CM large-area block ceramic ultrafiltration membranes, and reverse osmosis technology to effectively treat the wastewater. This system can remain stable for 60 days and, in terms of working pressure, SDI, and service life, ceramic ultrafiltration systems have better application value than organic hollow fiber membranes.

Treatment of Paper Mill Wastewater

Papermaking wastewater contains a large amount of sodium, lignin, and other impurities, so the membrane must be alkali-resistant. Since Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane has strong acid and alkali resistance, it has a good treatment effect on the wastewater from the paper industry. Using ceramic membranes with different pore sizes to treat papermaking wastewater, the removal rate of turbidity and chromaticity is more than 30%, and the retention rate of suspensions is over 90%.

In the future, ceramic membranes will find more applications in wastewater treatment. Using Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane for the treatment of chemical and inorganic industrial wastewater can reduce system downtime, cleaning frequency, and membrane replacement operation costs. Ceramic Ultrafiltration Membrane offers reliable and stable performance and continuous stable water production, capable of solving practical problems for users and creating long-term value.
